RIC’s last home game of the regular season was also Senior Night, where senior defensemen Mike Butler & Joe Delsignore and senior goaltender Alan Duda where presented with plaques for their years of dedication to the team and hard work. The game itself proved to be hard work, too. Freshman Rob Reall scored twice for RIC, and Kyle Short pounded in another, but Conn. College once again took advantage of their relentless offensive assault, and although Duda had stopped 31 of 35 into the final 3 minutes of the game to keep RIC in the game 4-3, poised for a late comeback, Conn. College scored a powerplay goal from the point to go up 5-3. Seconds later, Duda, headed to the bench for the extra skater, and RIC couldn’t seem to buy a goal despite the increased pressure and scoring chances. Conn. College sealed the deal with an empty netter that travelled the legnth of the ice that ultimately spoiled RIC’s senior night 6-3. With their 8-1 win earlier in the season, Connecticut College ended up being the only team to sweep RIC this season.

RIC’s season record dropped to a still impressive 18-4-2 with the loss.
